Short Trench Coat

The trench, cut short and worn loose. Wide lapels, a belted waist and a clean single-breasted front — all the shape of the original, none of the weight.

Wide lapels — Broad and softly notched. Open for ease, or turned up with the belt pulled tight.

Belted waist — Tie it for definition, leave it hanging for a relaxed line. Same coat, two silhouettes.

Short length — 50–65 cm depending on size, so it sits at the hip. Works over dresses, denim and tailoring alike.

Practical detailing — Side pockets deep enough to use, long sleeves, a fabric that washes without ceremony.
